Cauvery Calling Updates — Oct 2019

There have been a few people asking about the updates on Cauvery Calling project. Here is what I know.

• The fund raising activity is what is going on now. So far, funds have been raised for about 4,47,41,990 trees as of today morning.
• Both TN and Karnataka governments have on the stage of Cauvery Calling events verbally agreed for supporting farmers through funds. Work is on now to get the twoGovernments to officially release their statements in media on this, hopefully by November 2019 itself.
• On 31st Oct 2019, Sadhguru has appealed to 54 companies in the India Economic Summit, to adopt a Taluk each (with 500 farmers to begin with) in the Cauvery basin for raising saplings and help train farmers move to AgroForestry.
