Indian Elections & Common Sense

--

I saw this news today and it made me laugh.

Humans invent machines because we want to reduce our work burden, and thereby the mistakes made by humans over time. If a machine is configured once, it is supposed to execute its tasks flawlessly for a much longer time.

In the case of counting votes, what is the point of redoing the whole thing manually by cross-checking every single vote, if we are going to use machines? It beats logic and common sense. But that’s just according to me and not some big netas of the country 🤷‍♂️

Just to clarify — I am ok with random verifications as it happens in any computerized system; taking it to 100% of the votes is what I am against.
