Problematic Use Of Tech!?

--

Ever felt like you’re too attached to your tech?

A new study reveals it’s not just you. Even medical students, who know the health risks, are falling into the trap of ‘problematic tech use’. This includes using tech to escape problems, avoid social interaction, or cope with anxiety.

The result?

- Sleep deprivation,

- Decreased productivity, and

- Social isolation.

Signs to watch out for include excessive time spent online, anxiety when not using tech, and difficulty controlling tech use.

Alarmingly, this issue is more common among female students, those with lower self-esteem, and those who’ve experienced childhood trauma.

The takeaway? Schools need to step up and implement interventions to reduce problematic tech use. It’s time to ‘Unplug And UnWind’ for our mental health.
